Timothy S. Hare

Dr. Timothy S. Hare, Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the Institute for Regional Analysis and Public Policy at Morehead State University, earned an M.A. in Economic Anthropology at the The University of Iowa and a Ph. D. in Anthropology at the University at Albany. Hare has directed several archaeological projects in Mexico aimed at reconstructing the transformation of political and economic systems in ancient Aztec and Maya societies.
He has most recently co-direct archaeological investigations at the ancient city of Mayapan in Mexico. In addition, he is developing software tools to facilitate the quantitative analysis and comparison multivariate spatial distributions. His current research interests include political economy, spatial statistics, medical anthropology, and social landscapes. Professor Hare's prior work has appeared in Latin American Antiquity and Anthropos. Hare lives in Morehead with his wife and three children.
