Daikwon Han
Assistant Professor of Geography and GIS
Dr. Daikwon Han joins IRAPP as Assistant Professor of Geography and GIS. He received his PhD in Geography from the University at Buffalo-State University of New York. Previously, he held the position of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, School of Public Health and Health Professions, SUNY-Buffalo. Dr. Han has conducted extensive research in the geographical and environmental epidemiology of cancer, focusing on the application of GIS and spatial analysis in health science.
He has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences, and has authored and coauthored research articles, which has been published in the Social Science and Medicine, International Journal of Health Geographics, Epidemiology, American Journal of Preventive Medicine, Cancer Causes and Control, and Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers, and Prevention. Professor Han will primarily teach both introductory and advanced GIS and geography courses, including Fundamental of Geography, Geographic Information Systems, GIS Applications, Population Geography, and Medical Geography.
